WELCOME TO THE SEA VIEW TRUST
The Sea View Trust, located in the North West of England, was formed on 1st November 2019 through the merger of the former View Trust and Blackpool Multi Academy Trust. The Sea View Trust is proud to be a community organisation that serves local children and families, currently located across Blackpool and Rossendale. As an outward facing Trust, we remain wholly committed to working in partnerships. These partnerships are with Local Authorities, mainstream and special schools, from the maintained, academy and independent sectors, collectively supporting all children across the Blackburn, Blackpool and Lancashire (BBL) sub-region and beyond.
The Sea View Trust currently incorporates Anchorsholme Primary Academy, Devonshire Primary Academy, Revoe Learning Academy, Park Community Academy, Tor View School and Valley College. The Trust welcomes every school’s right to be unique and respond to the needs of their children, families and wider communities. Our aim is for the Trust to underpin school improvement, providing all our academies with a secure base from which to grow and flourish.
Our vision is to work as a cohesive Trust, bringing together culturally aligned academies where a climate of nurture and respect leads to challenge, aspiration and achievement for all. Working in collaboration, we seek to support the provision of high-quality education through self-help and continuous improvement. Our enduring aspiration is to ensure that we offer value for money and maximise the resources available for all pupils within the Trust, the most important resource being our dedicated and professional staff.
In addition to our thriving academies and college, a key to the success of the Trust is the Embrace Teaching School. The Trust also has very strong links with Star Institute and, through these partnerships, we deliver on our vision of a sustainable cross-phase and cross-sector workforce and for school improvement across BBL. Effective School to School support, together with innovative recruitment and retention strategies, enables us to support and grow teachers from NQT to Executive Headship. Our well-established offer incorporates Initial Teacher Training (ITT) with the University of Cumbria and Pennine Lancashire SCITT , together with a programme of Continuing Professional and Leadership Development (CPLD) for class-based and support staff working in schools. The Sea View Trust has secured an excellent reputation at local, regional and national levels.
The Trust has an inclusive growth strategy and, as such, is seeking to identify and welcome new partners who share our vision and values and are keen to develop and grow in unison. Should you require further information, or wish to enquire about joining us, please do not hesitate to get in touch, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Angela Holdsworth MBE, CEO of The Sea View Trust.
