Blackpool Multi Academy Trust – Welcome

The Blackpool Multi Academy Trust is a small group of schools comprising of 1 Special School (2 – 19), and 3 mainstream Primary Schools (4 – 11 years). These schools provide education for 1224 pupils.

The Trust has been in existence since 2013 following a request from the Local Authority; three schools formed the trust with a fourth allocated as sponsored school. In 2017 the trust was reconstituted and the previous board of trustees which was made up of heads and chairs of governing bodies stepped aside and was replaced by a new board of trustees in order to provide clarity of responsibility and delegation.

The four schools currently in the Trust are Anchorsholme Academy, Devonshire Primary Academy, Park Community Academy and Revoe Learning Academy (currently a sponsored school) and all are deeply passionate about providing high quality education for their pupils to help them succeed and achieve. They are all strongly rooted in their local community and are driven by a desire to improve educational opportunities for children and families in Blackpool.

The Trust believes that education must be tailored to the individual and each of our schools is unique in its character and ethos. It aspires to be an ethical Trust that exists to improve the educational opportunities for the children in the Trust schools. The Trust offers high levels of autonomy to its schools whilst ensuring the support is available when needed.

The Trust has an experienced group of directors who give their time freely. Details of the Trustee board can be found in the “Trust” section of the website.

Anchorsholme Academy

Everyone in the school is encouraged to develop to his or her full academic and creative potential and to think, question, discuss and evaluate.

The school promotes personal and social development. Everyone is encouraged to join in a wide variety of experiences in addition to those associated with the classroom. The pursuit of ideals and qualities such as enthusiasm is encouraged.

Co-operation and care for others is fostered. Everyone is encouraged to explore his or her responsibilities at home, at school and in the local and global environment.

The school is staffed and resourced with this in mind and the curriculum is planned to offer the widest possible range of opportunities. Constructive parental involvement in the life of the school is encouraged and all parents are welcome to contact and to visit the school as they wish.

Devonshire Primary Academy

At Devonshire Primary Academy we regard each of the children in our care as special and unique individuals. We recognise the entitlement or every child to have full access to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum, irrespective of gender, race, ethnicity, religion or particular needs. We aim to provide quality learning experiences within a happy, purposeful, stimulating environment where each child is encouraged and inspired to fulfil his or her potential.

Our aim is to develop the 'Whole Child' intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. We strive to foster a caring family atmosphere, where each child's needs are taken into consideration. We encourage the development of self-esteem and self-discipline where children take responsibility for their actions and we expect high standards of behaviour and respect for other people and their possessions.

Park Community Academy

Park Community Academy is a vibrant, thriving, happy and successful school which aims to provide high quality educational provision for all of our children in a safe and secure environment which reflects care, happiness, enjoyment and success.

It is a Special Academy currently catering for boys and girls aged from 4 to 16 years.  With effect from September 2015, PCA will be extending its provision to provide Post 16 education up to the age of 19.

The children who attend PCA have a wide range of learning needs including moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex learning difficulties associated with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and speech and language difficulties, sensory impairment, some complex medical needs and varying degrees of social emotional and behavioural needs associated with their SEND.

Revoe Learning Academy

Here at RLA, we provide, and promote, a happy, safe and high achieving learning community where everyone is valued as a learner who really matters. Our children and families have decided to use RLA to stand for: Respect; Learn; Achieve.

We want to be a place of learning, where expectations for all are high, and there is strong communication between home and school to benefit the child.

RLA has its own Children’s Centre and pre-school Nurseries on site which means that we can provide for the needs of your whole family, including unborn babies! We can access a wide range of agencies for you and deliver many activities through our expert staff.

We pride ourselves on expecting, and supporting, all learners, child and adult alike, to achieve their best. We want to play a crucial part in your child’s growth – and we want to do this with you!
