What's the Big Idea for SEND?
The Sea View Trust, located in the North West of England, is currently comprised of 3 mainstream primary academies, 2 special academies and a specialist college.
Our vision is to work as a cohesive and inclusive Trust, bringing together culturally aligned partners where a climate of nurture and respect leads to challenge, aspiration and achievement for all.
In partnership with the Blackpool Research School, curriculum hubs, universities, schools and Trusts, we have secured an excellent reputation at local, regional and national levels, including producing our most recent free resource SEND Development Pathways for the School Workforce in collaboration with Whole School SEND and the DfE.
We are delighted to announce our latest exciting initiative What’s the BIG idea for SEND? This Innovation for SEND project is delivered in partnership with Whole School SEND and the DfE. Our remit is to identify, evaluate, document, sustain, validate and scale-up promising school/college initiatives which benefit children and young people with SEND. The ambition is to create an accessible national database to widely share what works for learners with SEND. Project participants will receive high-quality, free CPD to share their ideas and support their engagement in simple, effective, class-based research.
